Increase awareness and understanding of substance use disorder in
the construction industry
Learn how to recognize substance use on the job site
Hear from experts on best practices for prevention and recovery
Give the opportunity for participants to voice their own concerns/questions on the topic
The week will culminate in a 150-second stand down on job sites around the city to mark the 150 opioid-related deaths per 100,000 construction workers annually.
The construction industry has been disproportionately affected by substance and opioid use disorder. The BTEA and Building Trades are committed to making a difference in prevention and recovery.
