Mental Health: Eliminating the Stigma with Modern Assistance Programs

Modern Assistance Programs (MAP) is a major employee assistance program for many of the local building trades.  Join them for a presentation on the stigma of mental health disorders and how they could be better handled in the construction industry.

During this training, we will learn how to define mental health disorders. We will talk about how to spot these signs and symptoms in other individuals and ourselves, and the next course of action. We will also talk about stress and if untreated, how it can develop into more serious issues. We will talk about coping skills and self-care techniques we can use when stress arises. The goal of this training is to obtain a better understanding of mental health diagnoses, and how to utilize the correct resources.
