Reasonable Suspicion Training for Supervisors with Contractors Risk Management

May 1, 2019 @ 8:00 am - 10:00 am

Free

Contractors Risk Management (CRM) is a premier safety consulting firm working with construction employers throughout New England. The Reasonable Suspicion Training covers all required elements for commercial driver supervisors under the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations. In addition, this training ensures that all persons designated to supervise employees will receive at least 60 minutes of training on alcohol misuse and receive at least an additional 60 minutes of training on controlled substances use.

The training will be used by the supervisors to determine whether reasonable suspicion exists to intervene with an employee who appears to be actively under the influence. The training includes the physical, behavioral, speech, and performance indicators of probable alcohol misuse and use of controlled substances. Recurrent training for supervisory personnel is not required. We include several real interactive scenarios where the student learns how outside influences can affect a person’s demeanor, examples include but are not limited to; Low sugar reaction for the diabetic, prescription drug and over the counter drugs with interacting on each other. And of course, the “in your face situation where evidence of alcohol or drugs is visibly present.
